IntuitDome - Kings vs. Clippers

I am a Lakers fan but when you get an opportunity to visit your cross town rival new stadium you do it. My brother, Marcus, who is a Clippers fan invited me to join him for the Kings vs. Clippers game.

I needed to download the Intuitdome app, because the stadium is a contactless venue and they use the app to handle tickets. The app is buggy and I had to buy a parking pass from Stubhub, but the face i.d. and payment features worked well.

Parking at the venue was easy and the approach from the West Parking Garage is nice. You walk through a LED walkway featuring the Clippers players and their team motto. Once you make it through the walkway you are greeted by a full court basketball court and an art display in front of the stadium of basketball courts attached to a clipper ship.

The Face entry worked for the most part and I made it inside with no problem. As I explored the dome, I felt a new energy inside, and the designers did a good job paying tribute to the community with the local jerseys surrounding the inside of the dome.

The use of the LED lights inside cements that you are in the Clippers arena, and this is a positive step after sharing an arena with the Lakers. The pep squad walking around the dome hyping the early arrivals was also a nice touch to set the mood for the game. It feels like the Clippers and marketing to the younger demographic and that is a brilliant move.

There isn’t a bad seat in the dome, but we had club level seats and it will be difficult for me to sit anywhere else if I visit the dome again. The club level offers a full bar, restaurant style food or traditional stadium food, and a lounge area to relax in.

The dome shape and halo board should be the standard in any arena because it provides an unique experience and I caught myself looking at the board more than the game. I also enjoy the xbox controller buttons in the armrest, it provided some enjoyable interactive moments throughout the game.

The staff inside the Intuit Dome was pleasant and helpful and I hope this does not change as time goes on.

I recall reading Steve Ballmer, Cippers owner, was adamant about having enough bathrooms for the fans and he did not disappoint. This was the best bathroom experience I’ve had at any event. The bathrooms were clean and had ample spots for you to take care of your business and get back to the action on the court.

Purchasing merch is easy. You walk in grab what you want and then walk out and they charge the card you have on file. My advice, be careful, because you can end up spending more money than you intended, and I found out the hard way when I bought Marcus a belated birthday gift from the Clippers shop.

The Wall, a place only for the die hard Clippers fan, is a nice section and they brought a collegiate atmosphere to the game. I can imagine when the dome is pack the noise level will be insane. The Clippers, despite dealing with multiple injuries, controlled the game and secure an easy win over the Kings. I enjoyed the steam coming from the ceiling after the victory.

This night was EPIC and I had an amazing time.

The Intuit Dome is the new venue in town and it will be hard for Crypto.com arena to compete for any future event. Marcus and I had a great time and exiting the dome was smoother than I thought it would be. I am considering returning to the Intuit Dome on January 6, 2025 for the premiere of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, but I need to recover from my visit to the Clippers store first.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my experience at the Intuit Dome.
