Judge O Collection

This collection of images is important to me because it was my first photography job. Judge O wanted photos for the jury room representing Los Angeles County.
I offered to do it for free, but Judge O insisted I should be paid. I was surprised anyone wanted to pay for my photography, but I was excited about the opportunity.
I worked on this project during my weekends and lunch breaks. Judge O chose 13 images, and the jury room was set.

Sadly, Judge O passed away unexpectedly, but I remember the joy I felt delivering the images and seeing them when they were framed. That feeling returned this past weekend when I showcased my project at Pasadena Photography Arts (@pasadenaphotoarts) Open Show 47. I’ve changed my editing style (dreamy HDR effect) since then, but I’ve kept the images as they were to honor Judge O’s memory.
